Walk Proud @ Kinselas is to host free and ticketed performances from critically acclaimed acts, including musician G Flip and Queer Folk-Pop artist Alex The Astronaut.
Darlinghurst venue, Kinselas, is about to get a colourful facelift for this year’s WorldPride in Sydney. The iconic LGBTQIA+ venue, located in the heart of Darlinghurst’s entertainment precinct, is being transformed with an exterior mural designed by fashion Creative Director, Mikey Nolan, of label Double Rainbouu.
It’s all part of Walk Proud @ Kinselas, a collaboration with whisky brand Johnnie Walker, in recognition and to empower progress for every LGBTQIA+ identity and inspire people to ‘Keep Walking Proudly’ towards a more inclusive future.
Keep Walking Proudly
Walk Proud @ Kinselas will host more than 40 events across all four floors of the venue, with acts from non-binary musician G Flip, Queer Folk-Pop artist Alex The Astronaut, Australian Pop Band Cub Sport and Gomeroi woman, Trans and First Nations advocate and solicitor DJ Crescendoll.
It is not just the facade that is seeing some new love – the venue interiors will also be updated with extra glitz in furnishings, lighting and staging for the performances.
