The signature factor<\/h3>\n

The Lyall is like staying in an upmarket Parisian apartment. The concept<\/h3>\n

Enter to soothing French music and a lobby that is more lounge with a floor-to-ceiling window where you can gaze across the central Japanese Maple garden. It\u2019s not hard to see why this property describes itself as a \u201chotel for those who hate hotels\u201d.<\/p>\n

First impressions at The Lyall, South Yarra<\/h3>\n

Step off the train in South Yarra, and less than 150 metres away, you\u2019re on pretty tree-lined Murphy Street. It feels a world away from the bustling cafes, bars and restaurants (some of the best in Melbourne) that line Toorak Road.<\/p>\n

The Lyall sits alongside other residential apartments and could easily be mistaken for one \u2013 and it\u2019s deliberate. There\u2019s a certain charm about the property which has stood here since 2002 that the designers wanted to retain.<\/p>\n

Rooms at The Lyall<\/h3>\n

The Lyall, South Yarra has 51 rooms and suites, each designed to evoke a sense of calm. They\u2019ve done it by using neutral tones and large floor-to-ceiling windows with views across the tree-lined street. Furniture was designed and made in Melbourne and includes dark-stained Tasmanian Oak with gold accents.<\/p>\n

In my suite, you enter to a living room with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Murphy Street. The bedroom has the same light-filled, pretty outlook with a king-sized bed, walk-in-wardrobe and a bathroom with an oversized shower, double sinks and bathtub.<\/p>\n

No detail has been overlooked from the pillow menu, velour bathrobes, Nespresso Machines, Dyson hairdryers and Molton Brown bath amenities to the heated towel rails.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”74814″ img_size=”full” add_caption=”yes” css=”.vc_custom_1665104498710{margin-bottom: 15px !important;}”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]
