Monaco is a tiny jewel on the sun-kissed French Riviera, where the Mediterranean meets a world of glamour.
Famous for its glittering casinos, elegant yachts and the thrilling Formula 1 Grand Prix, it feels like a playground for the rich and famous. Winding streets, luxury boutiques and postcard-worthy sea views make Monaco a place where every moment feels like a scene from a romantic movie.
This year, Monaco hosted the 117th Michelin Guide France & Monaco Ceremony, shining a spotlight on its culinary scene. The latest guide honours both classic and innovative dining experiences, including Robuchon Monaco, which earned a Michelin star under Chef Frédéric Garnier, and Les Ambassadeurs by Christophe Cussac, recognised with the Michelin Service Award.
Monaco is also home to the most Michelin-starred resort in the world, Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer, a destination that brings together six Michelin-starred restaurants and a total of 10 stars in one place. Highlights include Le Louis XV – Alain Ducasse by Alain Ducasse, the refined Blue Bay Marcel Ravin and Elsa by Marcel Ravin, as well as L’Abysse Monte-Carlo and Pavyllon Monte-Carlo by Yannick Alléno. Completing the experience is Le Grill by Dominique Lory.
Monaco now boasts nine starred restaurants and a total of 14 Michelin stars, keeping all of its existing distinctions. Read on for the defintive guide to the best Michelin-starred restaurants in Monaco.

Princess Grace and Roger Moore are among the illustrious guests who have favoured this legendary restaurant over the years.

With panoramic views of the seaside, this restaurant has recently been redesigned with interiors that take inspiration from elements such as water, wood, fire, metal and earth.

L’Abysse Monte-Carlo **
L’Abysse Monte-Carlo, led by Chef Yannick Alléno and sushi master Yasunari Okazaki, has quickly become a pinnacle of modern Japanese gastronomy in the Principality, earning two Michelin stars within its first year at the Hôtel Hermitage.

Elsa Marcel Ravin *
A premier destination for sustainable and ethical gastronomy, chef Marcel Ravin’s menu offers diners a marine garden, where the delights of the sea harmonise with the treasures of the land.

While the flagship Joël Robuchon Monte-Carlo has since closed its doors to make way for the new Les Ambassadeurs by Christophe Cussac, the late chef’s legacy in Monaco lives on through Yoshi, the hotel’s acclaimed one-star Japanese restaurant.
Pavyllon Monte-Carlo *
Pavyllon Monte-Carlo by Yannick Alléno opened at the Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo in April 2022. The chef uses modern techniques such as cold extraction and fermentation to bring lightness to his dishes.
