Why visit the World’s Best Luxury Hot Springs, Peninsula Hot Springs?

Peninsula Hot Springs draws on the principles of balneology, the scientific study of the therapeutic benefits of mineral waters, a practice long used in Europe and Japan as part of medical and preventative care. The facility is fed by geothermal waters that are believed to have been underground for more than 10,000 years, earning its classification as a ‘true mineral spring’ with dissolved solids exceeding 3500 parts per million, according to studies conducted by the Institute of Geological and Nuclear Sciences in New Zealand. Rich in minerals such as magnesium, potassium, boron and sodium, the waters maintain soothing temperatures between 34°C and 42°C, offering a therapeutic bathing experience. Recognised for its wellness benefits, these mineral-rich waters can support relaxation, improve sleep, ease joint and muscle discomfort, enhance skin health, promote detoxification and encourage social connection.
