A new era of sound therapy has arrived in Sydney with the opening of Frequency Lab, Australia’s first neuroscience-based sound medicine studio. Located in the inner western suburb of Newtown, this pioneering space promises a deeply immersive wellness experience. The concept blends ancient healing instruments with cutting-edge frequency technology to recalibrate the mind and body.

What is Frequency Lab?

Founded by wellness entrepreneur Kim Williams, Frequency Lab was born from her discovery of sonic vibration technology in Bali and a lifelong passion for holistic health. With qualifications in aromatherapy, holistic counselling, spiritual life coaching and sound medicine, Williams brings both expertise and authenticity to her latest venture.

The studio operates seven days a week, offering themed sessions, such as Replenish, Release, Restore, Reconnect, Empower and Expand, each designed to elicit distinct physical, mental and emotional outcomes. Monthly full and new moon events further deepen the experience, aligning participants with natural cycles and lunar energy.

At the heart of each session lies Frequency Lab’s signature combination of sonic waterbeds and light meditation systems, which immerse the body in vibration, frequency and gentle illumination. Guided by trained sound facilitators, participants are enveloped in tones and textures that soothe the nervous system, enhance mental clarity and invite measurable shifts in consciousness.
